This pandemic has not only took the world we live in by the storm, but it has also taken the things we love such as family, friends, school, sports, and March Madness. You might say, "Nelson, March Madness is sports, it's the biggest tournament of college basketball." But I would take it a step further and say, "you are very correct but March Madness alone, is the breadwinner of the NCAA, not just college basketball but the entire NCAA." And for that March Madness deserves to be in a category of its own. According to, The Money Behind the March Madness NCAA Basketball Tournament, "During the 2016-17 school year, the NCAA brought in $1 billion in revenue for the first time in history." If we fast-forward to 2019, March Madness now brings in $933 million on its own. That not only shows where they are now but also shows the increase and growth from 2016 to 2019. And I can only imagine the numbers they are going to have next year in 2021. Fans are going to be missing March Madness more than anything! I"ll go ahead and say it, "March Madness is going to break the scale in 2021! Mark my words!"
