UCLA is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to NCAA Basketball Championships and March Madness. In 1964, UCLA won its first National title under John Wooden. Wooden and The UCLA Bruins went on to win 10 of the next 12 National Titles. This is absolutely superior! They won two in a row from 1964-1965 and after that, they won 7 in a row from 1967-1973 and another in 1975. But to win 7 National Championships in a row is unheard-of, no one in the history of basketball has won 7 National titles in a row, whether college or professional. UCLA recruited players like Lew Alcindor(1966-1969), Bill Walton(1971-1974), and According to UCLA Basketball: The Top 50 Players in School History, “The 7’2” center won the inaugural Naismith Award, amassed 2,325 points and 1,367 rebounds in three collegiate seasons, and led the Bruins to an 88-2 combined record with three national championships.” This shows you the caliber of players UCLA possessed at this time of dominance. If you still are unaware of who this is, it is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. UCLA dominated college basketball from 1964-1976 and had a record of 319-8, which is unbelievable and phenomenal!
