Because all the tournaments were cancelled, I decided to have a little fun this week amidst the chaos of COVID-19 and share what would’ve been my ideal ending to the Tennessee Volunteers' 2020 season.
“And your 2020 SEC Champions are….the Tennessee Volunteers!! The Volunteers made a historical run to end their 2020 season. The unlikely Vols started the SEC tournament with a considerable win against Alabama to make this their 2nd win over the Tide this season. They went on to beat the #1 seeded Kentucky Wildcats and the Mississippi State Bulldogs in close match-ups to put themselves in the championship. The Volunteers faced the LSU Tigers and willed their way to win in the last 3 minutes of the game. John Fulkerson put up some massive numbers throughout the game, but it was freshman forward, Drew Pember who won it for the Vols.

With a tied ball game and 1:37 left on the clock, Pember got the offensive rebound, the and one, and a massive block down the stretch. It looks like someone has been taking notes on the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, Yves Pons. After the late effort from the Volunteers, their Cinderella story had just begun with a 78-75 win over the Tigers.

Please join us and share what would've been your ideal ending to your team’s season in our comments.
