March is upon us. This first day gets everyone excited for the drama, upsets, predictions, and Cinderella stories that the conclusion of the collegiate basketball season will be sure to bring. NCAA is already releasing their 2020 predictions for bracket setup as stated by Andy Kratz, a NCAA.com writer.

Here he breaks down what he believes will be the top four teams overall, in the Mid-west, East, South, and West. He also states that University of Oklahoma, Xavier University, Mississippi State University, and Providence College will be the last four to make the 2020 bracket. UCLA, Wichita State University, The University of Memphis, and University of Richmond will be the first four to miss the cut for March Madness 2020.

Virginia Tech, University of Chapel Hill, and Nevada are usual appearances in the NCAA tournament that will have to work exceptionally hard this year if they wish to participate in March Madness. In the past these teams have been a given with their athletic departments, but this year poses new teams such as Illinois and Creighton who will be making unexpected appearances. The NCAA committee determines the top 68 teams for play with the newly renovated evaluation tool. This tool calibrates game results, schedule strength, scoring margin, and offensive/ defensive efficiency as stated on NCAA.com.
